Expert Digital Forensics for the Defence
Digital Forensics Review was established to provide criminal defence teams with the independent forensic expertise needed to properly scrutinise prosecution digital evidence.
Built on two decades of operational experience.
Digital Forensics Review is led by a forensic examiner with 21 years of law enforcement experience, including 7 years serving in a Divisional Protective Services Unit — a specialist unit where digital evidence formed a central and routine part of criminal investigations and prosecutions.
That operational background provides a level of insight that academic qualifications alone cannot. Having worked extensively on the prosecution side — gathering, processing, and presenting digital evidence in criminal proceedings — we understand precisely how that evidence is constructed, where assumptions are made, and where errors can occur.
Defence teams are often at a disadvantage when it comes to digital evidence. The prosecution's forensic examiners are experienced, well-resourced, and familiar with the tools and processes involved. Digital Forensics Review exists to redress that balance — providing the defence with an equally rigorous, equally experienced expert who can examine the same evidence with the same tools, and provide an independent opinion on its reliability and integrity.
